Re CCA's two other new camps: I once stayed two weeks in the Xudum area and I wouldn't call it a prime game location. Best sightings were in the north of the concession, at the boundary to Pom Pom, but that's a long drive, and you certainly do better if staying at Pom Pom. I don't know where the second camp is located.

If CCA say that Jeff Rann is moving out, and CCA got a 50,000 hectare concession in NG/29 and NG/30 - who got the rest?
NG/29 is about 185,000 hectares, and NG/30 about 95,000 hectares.
To me that sounds more like the old Landela photographic sub-lease, and that there's still hunting around.

According to CCA, both Landela and Rann will no longer be operating in the concession. All of the existing camps will be completely broken down.
The new Xudum camp will not be located in the same location as the old Xudum camp.
Cheers,
Julian

Landela went bankrupt in 2003, since then the photographic camps havn't been used.
Part of a sub-lease deal is that no operator will move into the other operator's area, Kwando Safaris and Bird Safaris are a good example of this.
Julian, if your CCA contact is talking about the 'concession', what area does he/she mean?
