I just got back from Jordan - wow - it was bombastic fantastic! I have a review of Kempinski Resort at http://www.bombasticlife.com/pme-jor...kempinski.html Will be posting more pictures and reviews soon (just got back last night).

Myself and some friends were in Jordan in the Spring and doing similar stuff - 4x4 tours into the desert, Petra, chariot races in Jerash (unmissable experience!) and some pretty awesome kitesurfing in Aqaba. If you want to organise an itinerary for the whole thing (that's what we did - better value for money I reckon and also you fit more in) I think it's a cool way to travel - no worries and in the hands of people who speak the lingo! If anyone's interested check out Jordan Tours - they sorted us out on a student budget too~!

Jordan and Egypt are just amazing-we planned our trip with Rita Zawaideh of Caravan Serai -truly the best and rightly awarded by Conde Nast 4 years in a row. they know this part of the world so well. [we felt safe at all times]

I just loved it, Petra was the draw but WOW was Jordan great-Wadi Rum, Dead Sea. And Egypt was my third time-my wife's second-Thomas
