One year anniversary
It is hard to believe it, but this month marks the one year anniversary of one of my great life changing events.
Exactly 1 year ago today (ignoring time zone differences) I had the most heavenly day. I woke up at Ilkeliani, saw giraffes outside my tent, had a great breakfast, and then spent an incredible day on the Masai Mara with some of the highlights being seeing 3 male lions withing 10 feet of or vehicle and then later seeing a cheetah just as close up.
Aaaaaaah!
I can't believe it has been a year already. I have been able to relive that time that to the wonderful trip reports I have ready from some many of you. I am looking forward to the SoCal get together.

The memories of a safari last a long time. While being on safari is definitely, for me, the best part of the safari, I enjoy planning and remembering the trip/looking at photos almost as much. While safaris are expensive, you get a lot of value since the memories, for me at least, last longer than some other trips.
Your October 6, 2005 was a perfect day.
