Bon Voyage, Sherry!
Re sunblock, I use the stuff that only needs to be applied once a day, but requires 20 minutes to "bond" with your skin (or something like that). It's kind of liquidy and clear and is very effective for me and a little goes a long way, I find.
No clever ideas with the underwear other than my normal practice which is taking a small tube of travel wash and washing overnight. As long as you're 2 days in some camps you shouldn't have any problems with items not drying! Wash dirties on arrival, decorate the tent with undies (it's the latest safari chic) and wait for them to dry.

So much for worrying about clothes and such. My bags are on their to J'burg but I'm not.
Flights were so delayed getting into JFK that here I sit at the Logan Hilton - it's just fabulous,
. Much better than Vic. Falls.
SAA (hate them) wouldn't allow us to transfer to another airline so we'll fly out tom. and try again.
Probably at the least all we'll miss is Vic. Falls - who needs to see piddly water dripping off a hill anyhow, LOL.
That is, of course, if Bert can rebook us up to Zimb. on another flight and we can get to Mana Pools.
Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.
Thusfar in good spirit but alas, drinks await!!
p.s. deoderant and SPF is in the other bags - looks like the same clothes for 3 days.

Sherry,
Sorry to hear that
Good luck for tomorrow!
Lynda,
My plans for Sydney do include a harbor cruise (and a visit to the aquarium). Don't know if we'll make it to Featherdale but I hope with luck we might see a devil in the wild. If not, there are 2 sanctuaries in Tassie on my list

My goodness Sherry, you just have the worst luck with flights! I remember your report from the Dubai airport when you were supposed to be in the Seychelles.
I'm sure Bert will come through for you though, I've heard all good stuff about his company, so I am sure he will take good care of you guys! And hey, yeah, just turn on the shower, step back and imagine you are Vic Falls..

Thanks for the good wishes and thoughts. Hopefully there won't be any more mishaps today.
Bought deoderant and shared for the first time in my life a toothbrush with DH. Bit the bullet as they say.
I am no longer a toothbrush virgin - pray for me LOL.
Berts been working hard and managed to re- book us on BA to Zimb. - so that's good thing. He's contacting Wildness to see if we can even do a fly over over the falls.
On a good note, I found out that no one else is scheduled on the Mana pools trip - so once again I get a private safari - sweet - what luck.
Now if there's anything left to my luggage that went ahead, life will be most perfect.

Although still somewhat on African time, I'll start today.
I'm old enough and hopefully more in tune with my body to not go immediately back to work, thusly I'm starting to feel normal (normal for me, that is).
I've already downloaded 2744 pics. and now need to edit and delete.
Mike and I are planning on spaghetti and Cabernet this evening to view them all. As soon as I filter though
and omit, I'll post my photos.
Lynn,
You were so right about sleeping in the desert. One of the best experiences I've ever had.
Hari,
Hint; Although they weren't supposed to be there, I saw what I wanted. I was lucky enough to get the guides that I requested. These guys could track anything.
