Download Google Earth to your pc. Its free. The Google map is not that good to work with. Be sure to check the Tracks4Africa layer to get additional benefit.

On Eben's website, click on a country, then on a region and a map of that area will come up showing camps. It is not interactive, but still good info.

climbhighsleeplow, how are current plans with your Google data files? Any chance to see them online again?

Nyama, I was the first to use Google Earth for extensive mapping of Africa game parks. In the beginning I made the KMZ files freely available for download.

In return we asked only for pictures of camps and even GPS waypoints and a small acknowledgement of our work (when using our data for commercial purposes and/or financial gain).

Unfortunately, everyone jumped at the chance to grab our data but very few people offered pictures or data in return. In fact, just the opposite happened - Google mapping safari websites are booming and East Africa "experts" are popping up everywhere!

So, we are trying to figure out how to go about sharing our data whilst remaining somewhat unique and relevant. A lot of personal time and money go into the creation of our maps - still the most complete and accurate resource for East Africa parks.
