Looking for hotel recommendations for Tel Aviv
Hey guys - I'm planning on being in Tel Aviv, Israel for the first week of Oct this year for 5 days. Ideally I'd like to find a fun, trendy hotel for someone in the late 20s/early 30s. I will be travelling solo, so it's be nice to stay where other singles stay as well, maybe chat with people at the hotel bar at the end of the day, or hang out at the pool. I'll be off doing tourist things during the day so I won't spend much time there during the day. I'd like to stay near the main nightlife area (close to the beach?), be a nice (luxury if it's a good deal), and if possible have a hot tub or sauna (not a deal breaker though). Any thoughts? Thanks!

We stayed at the HIlton in Tel Aviv in the 2nd week of May. Granted that hotels in Tel Aviv are expensive, specially those that are located in front of the beach, Hilton is still overpriced for what they offer, about $500 night. The property itself is a bit dated with wear and tear showing in different places. If you have exec lounge access from status you earned in Hilton’s Honors loyalty program, theirs is the smallest I have seen and the offerings are meager. Employees are nice and friendly but nothing stood out that is above and beyond type service or a memorable guest experience. Maybe there wasnt an opportunity for the hotel to do that since we were only there for 2 days . Hilton is definitely not trendy.

We stayed at Lily and Bloom on Lilienblum St. It's right near (5 minutes' walk) where a lot of action is as far as 20 to 30-somethings hanging out in bars and restaurants. I would think the Hilton is more couples and families. Lily and Bloom is a boutique hotel and has no pool but does have a bar. And although not cheap it's nowhere near $500 night. Yow!

If you have some Virtual Reality (VR) goggles, you may want to run/download the 'Inception VR' app and view the 'TimeOut Tel Aviv' clips in 360 degrees. They're oriented towards your kind of question and age
