London GTG
Just reporting back on a lovely Fodorite lunch in China Town today with Julian, Mandy, Dennis and Thom. Dennis and Thom came into town from Heathrow as they had a few hours before their onward flight to Lusaka. Julian came down from Oxford and Mandy and I are based in London already.
Was lovely to meet everyone and put a few more faces to names!

Hi Michael,
Too bad I didn't have my camera -- Mandy and I went to The Parlour at Sketch for tea afterwards, and the decor in that place would have put Singita Lembombo to shame! The loos were particulalry psychdelic...imagine a modern art gallery crossed with a five-star place designed by someone on acid.
The food was excellent, though...almost too pretty to eat, but we managed!
Here's the website if you're curious:

Cheers,

At the Chinese restaurant Mandy, Dennis and Thom all went for sweet and sour pork from the regular menu. Julian and I had dim sum - lots of little bursts of flavour from lobster dumplings to bbq pork puff pastries to squid rings to paper wrapped prawns to pork dumplings and a couple of others... YUM!
