kenya beaches soon!
hi it's me again!
so, now here's what i will do. i am going to land in either mombassa or mlindi depending on the flight availability.
lamu is now out. i contacted resorts and guest houses and the responses i did get were that they were not open in june.
i think this is fine in that flying into malindi i will go to watamu, or flying into mombassa i will make my way to kisite.
that said, do you have any favorite places to stay along the coast? i will investigate all options. i will try to tsavo, if you think it will be doable, so if that is a factor in recommdening a property, then great.
overall, i think you've been incredibly helpful so if you're tired of me and my questions, i understand.
but if you're not- i'm ready!
thanks!

Kerikeri,
Tsavo is very doable from Mombasa and Malindi. When I was staying at Tarhi Camp, three Italians and a guide from Malindi made a one-night-visit, but I’d say 2 nights are an absolute minimum. I believe Southern Cross has an office in Malindi – and a head office in Mombasa.

kerikeri... I would suggest that you check out what the game viewing is probably going to be like in Tsavo before you go - the animals scatter at certain times of year when there is a lot of water making game harder to see since the area is huge. It's not a reason not to go, but it would change the focus of your trip from spotting wildlife and along the way admiring the scenery to admiring the scenery and along the way spotting wildlife. Not a reason not to go.
In addition don't forget there are Arabuko Soloke and (epecially) Shimba Hills reserves on the coast too. Shimba Hills is near Mombassa and has a "tree lodge" (like the Ark,etc.)
