Will I catch the migration?

OK, 5 days to go and I'm getting a bit hyper. So, do we have a chance of catching the migration? Will be in Seronera June 8, 9, 10 and in the Mara (Kitcwa Tembo) on June 16, 17, 18.
Nomad's site is only updated as of May 1st. Anyone have a link to a more up to date site or any direct info? Thanks.

I know that we're going to have a great time even if we don't catch the great migration.

I don't have any recent migration update, but the info on Nomad's site should be enough -- the herds were quite far south in early May and not yet on the move, so they should still be there in the Serengeti for you.
Normally, the herds would be passing through the Western corridor (which you can reach from Seronera) in early June, on their way out of the Serengeti. As the migration northwards doesn't seem earlier than normal this year, rather the contrary, you should find it within the park. I hope you'll catch it!

I think you will in the Serengeti since you can drive one way or the other in search of herds.

You probably won't see the migration in the Mara, but there are some resident herds in the area you are staying.

Have a great trip.

Martync,

Just ensure you hv unlimited mileage for the serengeti, just incase u need to drive a long way. But, IMO you should be able to catch the migration there.......ENJOY!!!

Good Luck !! u'll need it
my tip: if u get the info of whereabout consider taking a LunchBox:
talk about it to your driver-guide, tip him extra & u can leave at 9-10 am (or even 07:00 after early breakfast !)
coming back at 18:30 enough time to cruise half way to lake Victoria...
(a breakfast box would be shorter but still longer than the usual game-drive)
