Hello mtea,
I don't know the answer to your question, but here's what the Eating Out website says about Jemima's opening hours:
Lunch: Tues - Fri, 11:00 - 14:00
Dinner:
(summer) Tues - Sun, from 18:30
(winter) Tues - Sat, from 18:30

You'll be there in February, right? So that will be summer, and I take it they will be open for dinner on sunday but not for lunch.

Thanks, Judy. The web address you provided contained an email address for Jemimas so I've been able to contact the restaurant directly. Nevertheless, it looks like they're open on Sundays in the summer.
Any restaurants along the Garden Route you (or anyone else reading this) would strongly recommend?

La Loerie, 57 Main Street, Knysna, Tel 044 382 1616. Open Mon - Sat evenings.
Also, here is Selwyn's post about restaurants in Cape Town that is amongst my bookmarks, in case I didn't provide it earlier:

mtea,
I have just phoned Jemimas and checked whether they are open for dinner during February and the answer is a definite YES. Please note they are not open for lunch on Sundays.
Hope this helps.

Sewlyn,
I just received an email response from Celia at Jemimas who said that the restaurant would be closed for two weeks beginning January 17. So, Selwyn, while your information may be correct, unfortunately for us we will be passing through Oudtshoorn when they're closed (we've moved our trip us a bit). Do you have an opinion on what is the second best restaurant in that area?

mtea,
Try and stay at Rooderandt guesthouse.

All in all this is a wonderful rustic experience that truly is quite unique with hosts extraordinaire in the form of Pieter and Mallet Fourie. The dinner meal that the Fourie's serve in their wonderful dining room is outstanding to say the least. Highly recommended for great food and wonderful atmosphere.
Hope this helps.

La Loerie has already been mentioned but I'll second (or is it third) the suggestion as we enjoyed a marvellous evening there in May, thanks to Selwyn's recommendation. Because it was a very quiet night we were able to chat during our meal to Sandy, the hostess/ co-owner. Her husband, Abdel was in the kitchen cooking but did come out to chat once or twice. Marvellous meal and we particularly loved the crepe gateau!
