is the credit card surcharge negotiable?

Hi Everyone, We are shopping outfitters. Naipendi is charging a 3.5% surcharge for using credit. Does anyone know if this is negotiable?

I cant really say if it's negotiable, but that amount is fairly normal. The outfitter isnt trying to profit off you using the credit card, but there are charges for them from the credit card company when they let you charge your safari. Howevery, it cant hurt to ask. I would offer to pay for the entire safari upfront with credit, not just the deposits, and see what they say. That would probably be your best bet. Good luck, im curious to see how that turns out.

The reason I ask is that a different outfitter said their surcharge was only 3%

If you don't ask, its not -- if you ask, the answer is maybe. So, why not ask?
