I need to get visa on arrival at Uganda airport. Do I need to bring pictures or do they take them at the airport? TIA!!

Though Kenya & Tanzania don't require photos if applying on landing, can't comment on Uganda, but I'm sure they do not take them at the airport.

To be safe, have photos done here (about $10+/- for 2). If they're required, they'll take them; otherwise, save for next visa somewhere.

I just take 2 photos with me when I travel, just in case I need them. I never did, but a friend of mine needed two photos of herself, which she was carrying, one time when visa rules changed in Eastern Europe. She saved herself a big hassle. Also if you ever lost any documents those photos could come in handy.

For photos other than passport, I take photos with my digital camera and crop and size them to the usual dimensions. As long as they are reasonable, the clerks in other countries don't know the difference, and don't care. What they want is your $$$.

No, you don't need any photos in Uganda, same premise as in Kenya and Tz.

agree with lynn - we take two photos and copies (in addition to originals) of our passports, visas, inoculations, travel/medical insurance, credit cards.

regards - tom
ps - anyone add anything to my list ???

If you have paper air tickets (soon to be a thing of the past, I guess), it's a good idea to have copies of those, too.
