travelinggrammy -

Travelsmith stuff is not cheap - but perfect for traveling.

Here is a set of men's zip-off pants -

And here are some capris for women -

The site also has a nice variety of pants and tops (including some nice tunic-styles).

You don't have to be as covered as the Middle Eastern women you saw probably were. You just need to find a balance between comfortable and respectful of the culture.

so capris would be acceptable? Would jeans and short sleeve shirts be okay, or does it half to be covered down to the elbow. I apprciate your input.... Judy

As long as your shoulders, knees and breasts are covered, you're fine. I wore capris and short-sleeve t-shirts.

Dave, My husband and I will be travelling to Egypt in 2 weeks' time.
We prefer DIY. Can yo advise?
We intend to arrive Cairo, arrange hotel shuttle to hotel, visit museum and pyramids, Alexandria by ourselves, fly to Aswan, enjoy the city; buy nile cruise from there, buy tour to Baraiya oasis and white desert etc...
We will arrive Cairo 19th Nov; depart 7th Dec 10.
