Fodorites Safari

We should book a safari with fodorites only..Young and old, whoever wants to join..I think it could be a lot of fun.

Where would we go? Some of us are dedicated Southern Africa fans, others East Africa fans. Some like luxury, some like it rough. Would be fun though! Might work if we all agreed to have it where none of us have been, like say, Angola, that's where all the animals are anyway!

Well, I'm open for either Eastern or Southern Africa or luxury or roughing it.

Let's throw Western Africa into the mix too, like Gabon, since many of us haven't been there. Surfing hippos...how cool would that be! 8-)

I suggest Simbambili, great discounts, price per night would be 250 us dollars. The best value for money. You pay for your drinks though and laundry, which is fair. Its luxury but best value for money. easy to get to from Johannesburg, we could rent 2 minibuss vans...

Anywhere would be fine, we could make certain options, just go where most of the votes take us.

250 dollars where euros instead, but if we rent the whole place, 8 chalets, iam sure we would get it for 250 dollars p.p.pn or less even. One thing I would opt for is open game vehicles....

Alejandra, Barry and Tara are in Mozambique opening a restaurant, Sean, Barry's brother and his wife Maryann are running LRL now...excellent hosts by the way. I'd say 1 camp for 4 nights, then we could all go our seperate ways...me to Zim. Surfing hippos would be cool too, divewop, but Gabon is definitely roughing it in the worst way! (someday though...) Sounds good, I was thinking of September anyway...

Dennis, thats what I heard from Sean! Will ask sean for their email. We should pick a central location so we could all continue decently from there...Perhaps the Sabi sands might be our best bet. I really think Simabmbili is a very appropriate pick. from Johannesburg we can all fly everywhere easily.

Its up to you guys and quite frankly I don't think is going to happen. I have asked Jaco to take over as I truly have a lot on my plate but remember I live here and do know what goes on and can control it. Simbambili will always take money as for any lodge but one phone call from me will certainly make them think.
Right now I am going to bed and just putting my thoughts toward Bots.
Mark
