We did Kenya & Tanzania last October & found that you can charge camera batteries via the "shaver" outlets found in every bathroom in all the lodges we stayed in. (the battery charger I had was dual voltage). The adapter you would need if the "shaver" outlet was not available would have 3 prongs. 2 set on an angle and 1 verticle. I had never seen this prong arrangement before on any adapters used in Europe or Asia. They were available for purchase in Nairobi, or borrow from the Lodge front desk.Have a great trip!

We've found a great little universal plug adapter made by APC which works for all countries except India. It is small, light weight and works like one of those kid's transformer toys.
The 2005 press release is here: http://tinyurl.com/3752ys and the product info for US folks is here: http://tinyurl.com/2qm34l . I think they make another model for Europeans, but I'm not sure why there is a difference.
All of our battery "stuff" is dual voltage, so this is all we've needed when we travel. But we do take a few of these adapters plus spare batteries and chargers...just in case.
