Egypt-Israel flight
I am trying to fly from Cairo to Tel Aviv in the spring. I was told that Air Egypt's Air Sinai carrier does this trip 3 times a week, but I recent heard that the airline has now cancelled this service indefinitely. The airline only tells me that my dates are full. Has anyone heard of this cancellation of service?

Checking via itasoftware.com, we could find no non-stops. Royal Jordanian was a fraction of the price of any of the others with one stop, a plane change in Amman. For little more money, you could book a stay in Jordan and see another country, if yo have time to do that.

Thanx for the suggestion
Jack and Ann (and the web site which I was unaware of).
We had actually considered Jordan and our back up plan (if Cairo isn't possible) is to fly to Eilat and then visit Petra. As with most travellers, I am probably trying to do too much with to little time, but it certainly is fun considering all of our options!

An update If anyone is interested. I understand that Air Sinai was cancelled but is now up and running again between Tel Aviv and Cairo. I have been told that this service is not always reliable and sudden cancellations do occure, so we have decided not to book with them.
