Egypt in June as compared to the American South in the summer
So I've looked at the average highs and humidity, and it doesn't look that much different than South Carolina in August, for example. This is the only time we can go, so I'm wondering if we'll be able to stand the heat if we can stand the American South in the summer. Can anyone compare?

Weatherbase.com shows the average high in Luxor is 104º with humidity 30%, while November (when I was there) is 81º. It would be less uncomfortable in Egypt at 104º than in a very humid place. But where I live it's occasionally 104º with low humidity & I just stay inside in the AC. I wouldn't want to be walking around much outside in the sun which is what most activities in Egypt are.

I went to Egypt in December, and that was quite warm enough for me. I live in North Carolina, and I survive the summers because everywhere (including my car) has AC. Walking outside in the afternoon can feel like walking into a Turkish bath, it is no time for sightseeing.
