Does King Tuts Tomb close to the public for renovations during the year?

I just got back and visited Tut's tomb last week - it's open. I agree with the others, unless you're a Tut fan, it can be skipped. Lot's of beautiful artifacts at the Cairo Museum to view, even if a few are on tour. I'm glad I visited it though!
