Chobe/ Moremi end of August

Just how cold will it get at night and on the morning game drives during the end of August. Some people will say to bring warm, heavier jacket , hat and gloves and others suggest only a light jacket.

I had only a light jacket at the end of Sept. last year (when it would presumably be warning up) in Chobe and nearly froze my behind off.

You will need a good fleece, and a couple of layers underneath. It is very cold early in the morning at this time of year. Please remember that August in the Southern hemisphere is the equivalent of February up north!

Bring warm layers, gloves, hats. They don't take up much room if you end up bringing them but not needing them. If it is cold, you'll be glad you have them. In August it's been warm sometimes and face-mask-cold other times.
