You don’t say what your budget is, but a reasonably priced seafood restaurant in Camps Bay is Codfather. It’s just off Victoria Road, the street along the beach, and the restaurant is on the upper floor. Tables near the window get an ocean view.
On the other end of the scale is 12 Apostles Hotel on the outskirts of Camps Bay. I can’t comment on the regular menu because I was there for a special function, but the food was outstanding, and if there during sunset you can watch the sun dip into the ocean.

Le Colombe
TTK
Pot Luck Club
Nando's (chain but good)
Fyn
Greenhouse, although I thought it was too too last time......
Carla's for prawns;no reservations, simple Mozambiquan food..going but this will be first time
Have you been to Mzoli's in the township? Music, dancing...meat.....sounds great!!
Sister loved restaurants at The Silo. Might be pricey.
If you are into upscale places I will look for my list;will be there a week before heading for Zimbabwe.

We enjoyed the Pot Luck Club, not wanting the full Test Kitchen many course experience.
Also have been to La Mouette several times, which does have a tasting menu, but is a more manageable number of courses.
Those were the ones that were memorable from our last trip.

Do you udnerstand the hoops you have go to go through nowadays to book at The Test Kitchen, Pot Luck Club, and even La Colombe? Credit card required to book and TTK opens its reservation books a month or so in advance of one's dates. Unless you have a great travel planner with connections who can do all this for you, it is a pain now that they (LDR's restaurants) are so popular .
I love Nando's, too!! Ditto Codfather.

Truth is, there are so many good restaurants with reasonable prices in Cape Town, you are spoiled for choices. If you want to eat at one of the top end restaurants mentioned above you will have to book well in advance, especially during SA holiday periods. There is a good sushi restaurant in the mall at V&A Waterfront if you don’t mind queuing to get in and not having a view.

TTK is notoriously difficult to book; La Colombe and Pot Luck are getting more difficult and even the newly famous place in Paternoster, WOLFGAT, has become hard to find a table even months out.

For a multi-course and very imaginative tasting menu in a smart hotel setting, Myoga restaurant in the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands.
We've been a couple of times. Last time they were inaugurating a new menu that rather flummoxed the waiters but I'm sure that has been sorted by now.
Myoga, 60 Colinton Rd, Newlands, Cape Town
