Can you recommend this agent?

Has anyone had any direct dealings with Fish Eagle Safaris from Texas and would you recommend them?

I haven't, but many have, and they have an excellent reputation. Based on what I have read, and I have done a lot of research, I would feel very comfortable booking with them.

Thank you so much. I was ready to call them but needed a little assurance. This is such a big step for me to get this trip planned.

Bert Duplessis with Fish Eagle booked my upcoming trip to Namibia/Botswana. Since I don't leave until next week, I can't comment on the trip itself yet. However, during the planning process Bert was absolutely fantastic to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

Highly highly recommended! Bert booked our Botswana/South Africa trip for May/June 2006. He offered excellent advice, made meticulous arrangements, and made the whole process fun. I don't think you can do better.

Bert helped plan our 2004 safari to SA, Botswana, and Vic Falls, and it was wonderful. He is pretty much a one-man operation, or was back then anyway, with a little help from his partner, but was still very responsive. He is a SA native who now lives in Houston, and came over to my house with brochures, maps, etc. only 3 hours after I first called him on the phone. He is quite knowledgeable, at least as far as Southern Africa, and was a pleasure to work with, offering advice but not trying to force me to accept his proposals. He uses Wilderness Safaris camps a lot, which are very nice, but will also book other places if you prefer.

I almost used him last year and was extremely impressed with his helpfulness and willingness to share knowledge. My neighbors DID use him for part of their three month journey through southern Africa several years ago and gave him high praise.

I also worked with Bert for our upcoming trip to Botswana in July. I concur with all said above. Also, his pricing is very competitive and he is very flexible. I had asked for quotes from three operators (the other two were out of South Africa) and he was to first to respond.

I booked my upcoming trip with Bert for two Wildnerness after getting very poor service from another Wildnerness rep. So far, he has been great. He gives me answers to my questions before I even ask them. Go with him!

Sorry I was out of touch for a bit. Just back from a mission trip to Mexico. A lot of hard, hot work but great fun, too! Thank you for your input. I will be giving Bert a call.

hguy47 Your trip is what we are thinking about....would you be so good as to share a summary of your itinerary?
