Botswana/Zambia - pic. part 2

Hello everyone,

A last selection of some of my favorites taken on my last two safaris in 2005.

They can be seen by following this link:

Johan,

Great pictures! What type of equipment did you use?
I am a learning (struggling) photographer and am always listening for tips. I currently use a Nikon D100, and usually mount a VR 70-200mm with a doubler. Great results, but a lot to learn.
Cheers,
Bill

Hi Johan,

Once again, a very nice selection of photos.

One thing, did the lioness get that smallish antelope, it really looks as if she should not have missed? Hard to believe that the antelope does not see her, but I have seen an male impala also look right at a sitting cheetah and not identify that shape as a cheetah, without the movement or the smell.

Kind regards,

Kaye

Kaye,

Luckily the puku got away. Everyone thought this would be hard to miss but at the last moment, it took off. It seemed to us that the lion was quite unexperienced.

Hari,

According to Steve, it was a warthog.

Greetings,

Johan

More stunners, to be sure! It is hard to believe the lioness missed that meal! The leopard and cheetahs in this series are especially nice. Thanks once again for sharing!
