Guess who I saw?
Canechick and Jasher in the Savuti channel. Only on returning and reading this thread did I put it together. I remembered they had a private vehicle, so it must have been them. Wish I'd thought to say something.

Favor, we had a similar discussion a few years back on the Europe board. At the time the forums were managed by a very approachable chap called Danny Mangin (no idea who manages them now) and he followed the thread in which some of us suggested Fodorite pins - we could wear them on our travels and perhaps it would help us recognise each other on passing. A small number of pins were duly made and sent out (about 100 or so I think) - I received one myself. But the idea didn't seem to last and so not many Fodorites got one. Not to mention that many of those sent out didn't get to their recipients as they tore through the unpadded envelopes and were lost.
But the idea itself was kind of cool!
Not that you'd have likely spotted a tiny pin from the distance in this case but what the hey!

It was the beginning of his and the end of mine and I am making some assumptions.
I didn't get your post about Grant until I got back, but he is going to be guiding us next year at KP and Mombo, and we are going to keep in touch, so I will remember you to him.

No problem - isn't he a fantastic guide?
Yes I figured your trips must have only JUST overlapped - time runs away with me so I'm seldom really aware of who's away for how much longer even though I do pay attention to the Bon Voyage/ I'm leaving threads!
