Troncones

Anyone been to Troncones? Rented a private villa? Stayed at Casa Viva? Planning a trip there in March with 2 kids ages 8 and 10. Any information regarding the beaches or town would be appreciated.

We went to Troncones four years ago with our children ages 5 and 3. We had one of our best vacations at a private villa - Las Tejas.

Please keep in mind that the ocean is a Surfers One & is not made for small or poor swimmers. It's an incredibly Beutiful beach with miles of empty space. I often spend a day there just watching the waves & walking on the sand. There area number of Villas, beach houses & apartments for rent at www.zihuatanejo.net then clicking on Troncones.

We got married there a few years ago. Rented Casa de Sirena, very nice. But it is two houses. Next time I'd make sure we had the whole place since our mates weren't very friendly.

The beach is very rough, I never got in, but most all places have pools.

Look at Casa gregorio. It's a small complex of several houses/bungalows on a calmer section of beach. We had a beer with the owner and he was a great guy, wish we had stayed there!

The Inn at manzanillo bay is also very nice, pricier I'm sure, but nothing there is over the top expensive. Make sure to have a dinner or brunch there, excellent, and the owner is a great host.

Don't miss dinner at the Burro barracho on Sunday night. The food is great and the High school students put on a dance show for donations for school supplies, at least they did. Very talented young people put on an amazing, quality show.

Thank you for your responses. Has anyone heard of or stayed at Casa Delle Forchette in Troncones?

Did you end up going to casa delle forchette? We are interested in the place but not finding a lot of reviews on it.
