Opinions about MyKeysToParis.com?

Hi,

I found a great apartment on www.mykeystoparis.com, but I am not familiar with this agency. I have looked for reviews of this agency here on Fodors and also on SlowTrav, but I have not found any yet. Has anyone used mykeystoparis, and, if so, what was your experience?

Thank you.

Never heard of them --which isn't a good or a bad thing necessarily. But most reputable agencies and listing sites are mentioned at least occasionally on Fodors . . .

Never heard of this agency before, but they are listed in a 2009 article at http://www.parisnotes.com/rentals/pa...ntrentals.html though not included in the handful described as "notable." A quick browse over their site shows agency fees that I consider prohibitive - too many other places that offer better prices.

As the original poster, I was surprised to see this thread had been resusitated.

I backed away from MKTP last August because they did not reply to emails asking (admittedly) a lot of questions that are important to me about any rental I will consider.

Fortunately, I found another apartment and am now looking forward to a month in Paris in the fall.

Thanks to all who took the time to comment on my original post and to follow up on the recent postings.

We rented an apartment and were very happy with the service we received from Daniel at the agency. We did have problems with the apartment, but it was totally related the owner. We arrived to find a leak in the bathroom. About 1/2 inches of water all over floor. We weren't sure where it was coming from...I expressed concern that it was sewage. Owner said (over the phone) I was ridiculous and it had to be just coming from other pipes. She said, "water won't hurt you" and "just keep putting towels on the floor"..we only had 2 towels. huh? When I insisted she come to appartment to look at the problem, she said she was just coming back from vacation and was tired, she explained how difficult it was to own a rental appartment, etc. She came by the next day and did a temporary fix. A very strange and rude woman, to say the least. we did not notify the agency, which looking back, we should have....

Okay, a first time poster gives this group a good report! Who's listening?

There are a few good apartment rental agencies offering Paris apartments, but we have been very satisfied with "Paris Perfect" for several reasons and will use them again for both our own rentals and those of our clients.

The above was uncalled for.
Jillsanders report was fine and I'm listening.

yeah, I'm kind of sick of hearing about the elitist Paris Perfect stuff, myself.
