Built inside the 17th-century Convent of Santa Teresa, this hotel has simply furnished rooms on two floors laid out around two lovely courtyards. The former convent forms the older wing. Its rooms have character, if occasional leaky faucets. You'll find more modern furnishings in the newer wing in front of the old convent, though it's still constructed in the colonial style. The staff is exceptionally friendly and eager to please. Pros: Central location, colonial charm, how often do you get to sleep in a convent? Cons: Not much is "palacial" about the simple rooms, breakfasts on the patio can make for a chilly early morning.
