Hefty, fresh-baked biscuits come with equally hefty fillings at the downstairs counter, while the rest of the space is dedicated to the South Lake Union branch of Tom Douglas's Serious Pie pizzeria. The crisp, crunchy fried chicken in a biscuit is worth the caloric wallop, as are fried green tomatoes and bacon on a biscuit. There are a few sides, salads, and soups, as well as coffee and pastries, but the biscuits—seriously, as it says—are the main event. Head upstairs for booths in the Serious Pie space overlooking the bakery to order the nontraditional, flatbreadlike pizzas with elegant toppings like Yukon gold potatoes, local clams, or roasted seasonal mushrooms.
