Fodor's Expert Review La Boucherie and Sea Breeze Farm

La Boucherie, the restaurant at the "beyond organic" Sea Breeze Farm, is a much-discussed outpost of local cuisine serving meats, poultry, and produce grown on or very close to the property. As a result, the menu is highly seasonal, but it always highlights Vashon's growers and farmers. Located in the heart of Vashon village, La Boucherie offers five-course meals paired with wine and artisan beverages ($125 per person) on select dates throughout the year. For a unique and truly farm-to-table experience, Sea Breeze offers a four-hour feast at its property on the north end of the island eight times per year. Guests can tour the bucolic grounds and meet the animals while enjoying cheese and wine, followed by a multicourse meal at a 16-person farmhouse table ($195 per person). Both restaurant and farm dinners sell out well in advance, so reservations are essential. Please check the website for additional details, as they are subject to change.
