Hawthorne District Review

Stretching from the foot of Mt. Tabor to Southeast 30th Avenue, this smaller neighborhood within the Buckman neighborhood in Southeast attracts a more college-age, bohemian crowd than Downtown or Nob Hill. With many bookstores, coffeehouses, taverns, restaurants, antiques stores, and boutiques filling the streets, it's easy to spend a few hours wandering here. Highlights include a smaller but still impressive branch of Powell's Books, Bagdad Theater & Pub, and the Goodwill Boutique.
