Chez Henri

Chez Henri Review

French with a Latin twist—odd bedfellows, but it works for this restaurant. The dinner menu gets serious, with pan-seared sea scallops glazed in a grapefruit barbecue sauce and sinfully sweet desserts like ginger-spiced shortcake. At the cozy bar you can sample conch fritters, grilled homemade chorizo, and a pressed Cuban sandwich. The place fills quickly with Cantabrigian locals—an interesting mix of students, professors, and sundry intelligentsia. The closest T stop (Harvard Square) is about a mile away.

A very good, somewhat upscale French-Cuban fusion spot with a bistro atmosphere and solid service, a favorite of professorial types. The Cuban sandwich served at the bar is among the area's best. It's several blocks walk from the Harvard Square T-stop.
