Though not directly in or near any of the island’s major towns, this property is in a unique setting and makes a great location to branch out to a variety of areas across the northern part of the Big Island. The accommodations are large and affordable and make great options for groups. The flock of turkeys that live on property are also a fun and unique treat that guests really enjoy.

Restaurants
Pueo’s Osteria (9-minute walk) offers farm to table Italian-inspired fare that, while it isn’t what you’d think of as Hawaiian food, includes some local favorites like Hamakua mushrooms and lilikoi cheesecake. A lovely wine menu and a late night happy hour with limited food menu for night owls from 9:30 p.m. to midnight make this a great spot to wine and dine. Heavy on the seafood and its specialty cold bar featuring oysters, lobster, and shrimp, The Blue Room Brasserie and Bar (13-minute) marries the traditional French brasserie with island flavors. The inspiration for the décor is the reception room at Iolani Palace, the royal home of the Hawaiian monarchy.
