The Animal Kingdom Resort Area has a good mix of hotels. Nearest to the park, the Animal Kingdom Lodge is an experience in and of itself, with some of the best restaurants on Disney property, great informational programs, and proximity to the savanna, where live animals roam in their own enclosure, so it's easy to hop from the pool to a viewing platform. Animal experts are on hand by day, and night-vision goggles are available in the evening. Coronado Springs offers beautiful rooms for an excellent price in a lively Mexican setting, complete with a Maya-themed waterslide.

On the other end of the spectrum are the three, no-frills, best-value-for-your-dollar All-Star Resorts. Here you'll find few amenities beyond a pool and a food court, but you can still take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours and free Disney bus service.
