Forney Museum of Transportation

Fodor's Review:

Inside a converted warehouse are an 1898 Renault coupe, Teddy Roosevelt's tour car, Amelia Earhart's immaculately maintained "Goldbug," and a Big Boy steam locomotive, among other former vehicles of the country's railroads and highways. Other exhibits in this eccentric museum consist of antique bicycles, cable cars, experimental car-planes, and even "Zabeast," a 1975 Pontiac entirely covered in bumper stickers. This trivia-laden gem is outside of the downtown loop: Go north on Brighton Boulevard; the museum is adjacent to the Denver Coliseum on the south side of I-70.
