You can take ultralight (very small two-seater planes that can be flown without a pilot's license) lessons at the Brian Ranch Airport, which offers 15-minute ($40), half-hour ($60), and hour-long ($95) rides across the Mojave. The airport is also known for its annual "World's Smallest Air Show" every Memorial Day weekend, which draws aviation enthusiasts from around the country.
