A favorite of locals and critics, this art-laden café in a strip mall serves modern twists on classics such as the crab Napoleon and onion soup fondue, as starters, and liver and onions, chicken caprese, and eggplant Parmesan as main courses. The owner, Bonnie Barley, is as friendly as they come. In 2015 she added the gourmet grocery Cello's Pantry in Rancho Mirage to her empire.
