In Tsaile, Navajo medicine men worked with architects to design the town's six-story Diné College, the first Native American-owned community college in the country. Because all important Navajo activities traditionally take place in a circle (a hogan is essentially circular), the campus was laid out in the round, with the buildings inside its perimeter covered in reflective glass to mirror the piñon-covered landscape surrounding the campus. Diné College's Hatathli Museum and Art Gallery contains art and exhibits on Navajo culture as well as intertribal exhibits from across the United States.
