Crush Wine Bistro and Cellar

Updated 08/19/2014

Fodor's Review

The combo of sharing-friendly small plates and an extensive wine list make Crush Anchorage's most conversation-friendly dining venue, the place to visit when you want to discuss adventures already lived or the ones to come. Chef power duo Christopher Vane and Rob Kinneen head up an inventive, budget-friendly menu that ranges from $5 plates of blue cheese–stuffed Medjool dates to $8 servings of sherried portobello-and-spinach polenta, and beyond. Though it's more fun

to share, diners who prefer a plate of their own can also opt for one of the daily dinner specials. Along with a world's worth of wines, Crush serves a selection of top-flight beers and some seriously beautiful espresso drinks. Housed in a building that could easily be a setting for a 1970s-era sci-fi flick, the interior is far warmer and more inviting than its curvy porthole-ish exterior.
