The name, a portmanteau of vino (wine) and pizza, is an immediate cue to what the focus is at Vinizza. And you can't go wrong with this pizza, cooked to perfection in a wood-burning oven, or fresh pasta made on site. The ingredients are superb and fresh, purchased from Marché Jean-Talon right outside the door. We recommend starting with fried calamari, then sharing the linguini with seafood and a "ca'pummarola ‘ncopp" pizza—with tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella. An additional incentive to dine here is that for every main dish sold, a donation is made to l'Accueil Bonneau to help feed Montréal's homeless.
