Café Stash

Café Stash Review

On chilly nights many Montrealers come here for sustenance—for borscht, pierogi, or cabbage and sausage—in short, for all the hearty specialties of a Polish kitchen. Live piano music is the perfect accompaniment for roasted wild boar or Wiener schnitzel. Seating is on pews from a chapel and at tables from an old convent. After 10 years as a waitress at Stash, Anita Karski bought the joint and her youthful enthusiasm is infectious.

Really enjoyed the 1st experience at Stash's. The staff was very pleasant and more than willing to help out with the menu...especially in explaining what was what. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was great and reasonably priced. Recommended!
