On chilly nights many Montrealers come here for sustenance—for borscht, pork chops, pierogies, or cabbage and sausage—in short, for all the hearty specialties of a Polish kitchen. Seating is on pews from a chapel and at tables from an old convent.

Really enjoyed the 1st experience at Stash's. The staff was very pleasant and more than willing to help out with the menu...especially in explaining what was what. Although the service was a bit slow, the food was great and reasonably priced. Recommended!
