Hallwylska Museet (Hallwyl Museum)

Hallwylska Museet (Hallwyl Museum) Review

This private late-19th-century palace, one of the first in Stockholm to have electricity and a telephone installed, has imposing wood-panel rooms and a collection of furniture, paintings, and musical instruments that can be best described as eclectic. The palace is decked out in a bewildering mélange of styles assembled by the apparently spendaholic Countess von Hallwyl, who left it to the state on her death.
