Rooms and facilities range from simple to dreary, but you can't beat the location—the roof terrace and some of the rooms look out onto the basilica. Nice touches like slippers, a good-night piece of chocolate, and soundproofing make up for the plain surroundings. Fruit, homemade tarts, and fresh ricotta make for a first-rate breakfast.
