Fodor's Review:

Profumeria Materozzoli is the place to go if you are searching for hard-to-find perfumes and old-world shaving supplies. Located on the ground floor of the aristocratic Palazzo Fiano on the site where workmen discovered Augustus's Altar of Peace, the Ara Pacis, in 1568, this La Belle Epoque perfumeria is a mixture of spicy scents and European attention to detail. Founded as an herbalist shop in 1870, their pomades and perfumes were a favorite with the aristocracy and those in service to it. With an expansive line of Italian, English and French perfumes, the shop continues to attract those with a sense of tradition and refinement. Not sure what scent befits the guy or gal in your life? Ask their knowledgeable staff to introduce you to the magical Florentine perfumes created by Lorenzo Villoresi, whose clients included the late Jackie Onassis and Madonna.
