Getting Here and Around

Trains run regularly from Milan to the town of Como; the trip takes half an hour from Centrale and an hour from Cadorna. There's also service to the tiny town of Varenna, just across the lake from Bellagio; the trip from Milan takes 1¼ hours. Como is off the A9 autostrada. To get to the town from Milan, take the A8 to the A9; the drive takes about an hour. Ferries (mainly pedestrian) run regularly from Como and Varenna to different spots around the lake.
