The Galvin brothers successfully blaze a trail for the bistro de luxe concept on Baker Street. Feted chefs Chris and Jeff forsake Michelin stars and cut loose under the brasserie banner. An older crowd enjoys impeccable service in a handsome salon. There's no finer crab lasagna around, and mains punch above their weight: rump of lamb, pork with prunes, halibut with shrimp.

I was really looking forward to this special meal with my wife. I was disappointed. We thought the food to be completely unremarkable - we had the 8 course feast. However the view is spectacular of course, and the service was very good. Overall though, it was terrible value.
