People come from all over the island for a meal at this exquisite restaurant. A pair of stone stairways leads up to the elegant dining room, with black-and-white marble floors, chandeliers with ruby-red shades, and a Steinway piano dating back to 1901. Dessert and after-dinner drinks are often served on the terrace, where you'll hear the constant crash of the waves. The 10-course tasting menu, an extravagant meal with a $110 price tag, might include foie gras with maple berry glaze, pan-seared scallops with asparagus risotto, or poached chillo (red snapper) with apricot gnocchi. Adding Caribbean accents to classical French cuisine, the à la carte menu changes weekly but might include roasted rack of lamb and wahoo (a kind of mackerel) in a pistachio crust. Dress is formal by island standards, except in the downstairs "Blue Room" dining area, where a similar menu is served. Lunch is served outside, on the terrace.
