You have left out two wonderful train trips. Board in Zurich, giving your luggage to the friendly fellows at the station. Your suitcases will be waiting for you when you get to Montreux, which is on Lake Geneva. You need to change trains to see the Golden Pass route - You have to go via via Luzern, Interlaken Ost, Zweisimmen, & Gstaad and change trains 4 times. Walk between Interlake Ost to the next station in Interlaken and have lunch on the way,

The other one is in Scotland - Mallaig to Glasgow. A magnificent trip too. We drove from Edinburgh to Aberdeen then onto Inverness the next day. Train to Isle o Skye. Took a half day tour around Skye and were picked up off the train. Stayed on Skye in Portree (capital) then bused and ferried to Mallaig the next day. great trip and both train trips are not to be missed.
