Lisa Maloney

A long-time Alaskan and avid adventurer around the globe, Lisa has written about her travel and outdoors adventures since 2005. Lisa's three guidebooks, including "Moon Alaska," garnered a Silver Award from the North American Travel Journalists Association and multiple Excellence in Craft awards from the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association. She also served as senior editor at Alaska Magazine, and has published hundreds of articles about her adventures in the likes of Condé Nast Traveler, Outside Online, AAA's Via, Discover Silversea, The Brand USA, Porthole Cruise Magazine, Holland America Line Compass, and Ensemble Vacations. Lisa currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska, and can generally be found speaking at author engagements around Alaska, shivering in search of the northern lights, and hiking absolutely anywhere that her frequent flyer miles can get her. Lisa does not own any reindeer, but she likes to pretend.
