Hi, Paul. Ashamed to admit I haven't been there -- too far from my "neighborhood". But most reports I have heard have been favorable -- not necessarily raves. Although most have said it is overpriced for what it is. And one friend said it was "like Blue Provence only not as good".
No first hand reports here, just second hand ones.

Thanks for the limited info, Patrick. I'd love to know what you think of it first-hand, if you should ever drop in.
Lil' Miss Foodie... You There?
;-)
BTW - I HAVE heard a rave, but don't trust the review. If you catch my drift.......

Paul, my mom is now out of North Collier Hospital where she was for just over two weeks. One night I should have tried Cote d'Azur, since it's right around the corner, and torn myself away from PF Chang's for a change.
By the way, someone here alerted me of a New York Times review of Naples Restaurants this past Sunday. Bleu Provence, the Dock, the dining room at the Ritz Carlton, and some crab place near Bonita were mentioned. Kind of interesting, but not much substance to the "review".

Thanks LMF - Some aquaintances from Toronto have told me this is one of their favorite restaurants in Naples. Neat people too. Just wanted the inside scoop from you or Patrick, or anyone else who may have tried it.
Let me know if you hear anything.
Hope all is well with you.

OK, last night we were returning from Sarasota and as we approached North Naples, decided this was a great time to try Cote d'Azur. We headed that way arriving just after 8:30 with no reservation. The girl was nice and we told here the reason we hadn't called was that we had driven down from Sarasota (well, we HAD!). She kept us waiting just a few minutes to see if she had a no-show or could fit us in, then signaled for us -- she had a booth -- a nice large one.
The place, although in a strip shopping center (Riverchase) next to Publix, is charming. Bright Provence table settings and fake "awnings" over the tables, old window frames with mirrors in them creating "windows" and lots of artwork. Each table has a huge can of olive oil from Provence, a decorative bottle of balsamic, and a box of Fleur de sel (salt) from the Camarque with a little spoon. While the sides are lined with booths for either two or four with Provence tablecloths, the enter has several large wood tables each with a matching set of wood chairs and Provence cushions, and placemats rather than tablecloths which gives those tables a more rustic country feeling. And the tables are large!
We each had a glass of Cote de Rhone, a very good one at $9 a glass, while looking over the menu.
Lee selected an endive salad, which was layered and crisscrossed, scattered with blue cheese and walnuts and drizzled with dijon vineagrette.
I started with chiperons (sp?) those baby calamari that had been pan roasted and served in a very rich broth of tomatoes, garlic, black olives, and basil. FANTASTIC! This could have been my meal as it was served a large wide bowl and there were at least 12 to 15 of those little buggers.
For main courses, Lee had sea bass with tomatoes, olives, herbs, peas, and garlic. I had half a boneless roasted duck in a very rich wine and sundried cherry sauce served with a whole pear poached in wine and a couple of figs. Amazing! Accompaniements were separate plates for each with some richly whipped potatoes and a tomatoe provenceal.
Lee had a "carpaccio of carmelized pineapple with strawberry coulis and vanilla bean ice cream" for dessert. He gave it a huge wow.
Service was pleasant, but a little harried at first as they were jammed to the rafters and we had arrived at the height of orders coming out. As it slowed a little bit it was even better.
Our total with a nice tip (and just our one glass of wine each) was $127.
The place is pricey. Both entrees were $28. Salads were mainly $9. My calamari was $12. But easily worth every penny. Next time I want to order a nice salad and a bowl of those calamari for my entire dinner. Lots of fish dishes for a Provence restaurant, plus lamb chops, steak, whole roasted baby boneless chicken (they were out of that last night and she said it is one of their most popular entrees), and one or two veal dishes.
Really excellent restaurant. Thanks for the heads up, Paul!

A few miles north. It is the big shopping center on the northeast corner of 41 and Immokalee Road. That's the intersection near PF Chang's and Macaroni Grill. Cote d'Azur is almost next to Publix.

We visit Naples several times and have gone here several times. In fact, we really used to like this place. In March, we reserved a table for three but only two of us attended. We were not "allowed to sit in a booth" and had to move-then the same booth was given to another couple. I ordered a caesar salad which was brown and slimy. When my husband told the waiter, he was very defensive, but took it off of the bill. Our table was the table for two right near the kitchen - worst table in the restaurant. The knick knacks near the table had a coat of dust and grease on them. I lost my appetite- which was probably from the time the hostess reseated us. I understand this is a small place, but there were lots of couples in booths here.
In May 2013, we decided to try Cote D'Azur again with another couple traveling with us-total 4 = booth. At 6:15 there were only 2 tables taken in the restaurant-the place was practically empty. The same hostess from March seated us in a table by the door and we asked to be reseated. She said that was impossible because others were coming and we said they could have the table by the window/door. She refused and we decided to leave - and she walked us out the door. We liked this restaurant, but our past two visits started with a very rude hostess refusing to cater to our needs - imagine that - the customer comes first. Terrible way to treat customers -wine list is so so and food is not consistent, but pricey.. shame on us for giving it another try!
