worst restaurant in columbus, ohio!!
first, last and WORST experience at tumbleweed southwest grill on the corner of 161 and dublin road (in front of Lowe's).
arrived at tumbleweed southwest grill at 12:40pm. the place was 1/2 empty. it took 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order. it took another 15 minutes for another waitress to take our lunch order. 1:45pm our food still didn't arrive.
there's around 10 things you can order from the lunch menu. we ordered 2 club sandwiches, 1 taco salad, and 1 order of tacos for the kids.
during that time of waiting we politely asked the waitress when will our food arrive? she just shrugged and walked away. then my brother-in-law went to ask the manager what's taking so long and he said 2 people called in sick. no apologies from anyone.
then we asked another waitress how long more? we told her 4 now 5 groups who came after us were served their food already. she said it must have been what we ordered.
??????
and then she shrugged and said we were second on the line.
1:45pm came and we decided to leave. we left $10 for our drinks and tried to tell the manager, waitress, or hostess we were leaving but they were no where to be found.
with service like that it's no wonder that place was 1/2 empty.

Thanks for the info, shell25, as I live in CMH too. However, my question is - why did you wait? I would left long before you did. You were in a prime eating area near Sawmill & 161 and there are lots of other chain restaurants you could have moved to.

Tumbleweed Southwest Grill is a chain. If you go to their web site and send management a report of your experience (without editorial excess) they may apologize and send you a gift certificate: http://www.tumbleweedrestaurants.com/

What's "suspect" about someone registering on Fodors to criticize a restaurant? I wouldn't do it, but it doesn't seem to strange to me.
And I can understand the waiting. That's one of those times when you figure, "Oh, the food's coming any minute now, and it isn't worth the hassle of getting up and finding another place." Until you reach your limit. I mean, it's not as if the person knew in advance he'd (she) be sitting there for an hour without being served.
