Can anyone suggest where to stay near Arrowmont in Gatlinburg this summer? Is it possible to avoid much traffic going to/from Arrowmont?

There are a lot of hotels within walking distance - and in various price ranges. I don't know their names because I never stay downtown, so I would recommend calling the school for a list. Plus I believe the school has limited dorm space.

Have tried several places in Gatlinburg, our favorites were:

Zodor's Best Western (stayed here a few times) request river room. Great perks here for the price. Wine and cheese in the evening, cookies and mild for the kids. Nice touches.

Also stayed at the Summit Condo's about a 10 min drive down the mountain to Gatlinburg. Beautiful views down the mountain........

Both were great experiences....
